Ching Chung Koon (青松觀) visiting
On the 3rd February 2018, Matthew, Jonas and I (Fanny) had been visited the Ching Chung Koon (青松觀).
Ching Chung Koon. The tour has started at 2pm. First, there was a tour guide which had led us and introduced the information of the Ching Chung Koon. They had brought us to watch a paint of Chinese fairy. Before the tour begins, the guide had reminded us not to take front side photos of all ancestors.
The paint is call 神仙壁畫.This has included around 100 of fairies inside the paint. All of them have their own stories.I remembered that guide said there are some faires are related to the stars nowadays, like Big Dipper (北斗七星).
Then, we got into the tempo and watch about the 3 ancestors. They are 王重陽,呂祖先和邱長春.
The guide told us about the history of them, and those are the very famous story which some of them have been noted in Chinese famous story. During the visiting, there are people are praying, which made me feel the state of mind and respectful.
After that, the guide brought us into a place that is private. It was a place for an ancestor which is protecting the tempo. The tempo had provided offering and cleaning specifically.
At last, there is an elderly center which the association sponsored and built in the Ching Chung Koon. After this visit, I understood more history about the place which related to my grandparents.I can feel the story behind through visiting the tempo.

Hello, I am Chan Pui Yee from buddhism group 2. You captured the beautiful and decorative details of the architecture. It is believed that it should have stories behind the wall paintings and the sculptures. I am not only talking about the traditional Taoism fairy tale, but also including the history, e.g. who built up and decorated this temple, and when did it be built. The pictures really make me carious about Ching Chung Koon. To improve, it is suggested to do a deeper research after the visiting, which could support the the writing content, to explore the new perspective and conclude what we learn in the visiting. Your experience is attractive and inspiring me to study the differences between the decorations of Taoism temple and the decorations of Buddhism monastery. I am looking forward to your next post! Thanks!
回覆刪除Thanks for writing some details about your experiences in Ching Chung Koon. It is quite attractive and there is a small suggestion. When you talk about the history of them, maybe you could write down some famous stories as examples. That would be more inspiring.
回覆刪除Hi I'm Alvin from group 3. I'm quite supersized you had reached this temple before. Honestly speaking, if I cannot catch this chance, I think I would not go to the place in my life.
